Simulation of deterministic compartmental models for infectious diseases dynamics

چکیده

Infectious diseases are caused by pathogenic microorganisms and can spread through different ways. Mathematical models computational simulation have been used extensively to investigate the transmission of infectious diseases. In other words, mathematical model be analyse dynamics diseases, aiming understand effects how control spread. general, these based on compartments, where each compartment contains individuals with same characteristics, such as susceptible, exposed, infected, recovered. this paper, we cast further light some classical epidemic models, reporting possible outcomes from numerical simulation. Furthermore, provide routines in a repository for simulations.

a study on thermodynamic models for simulation of 1,3 butadiene purification columns

attempts have been made to study the thermodynamic behavior of 1,3 butadiene purification columns with the aim of retrofitting those columns to more energy efficient separation schemes. 1,3 butadiene is purified in two columns in series through being separated from methyl acetylene and 1,2 butadiene in the first and second column respectively. comparisons have been made among different therm...

Simulation of Infectious Diseases Using Agent-Based Versus System Dynamics Models

System dynamics and agent-based modeling are two approaches used in simulation experiments. In this paper, we implement a system dynamics model for infectious diseases (SIR model) using Causal Block Diagrams (CBD) and develop an agent-based model based on statecharts. Our agent-based modeling approach produces similar results to the system dynamics approach. We discuss in detail how this simila...

Simulation of Pedestrian Dynamics with Macroscopic and Microscopic Mathematical Models

Here, we collect two parts of a research project on the pedestrian flow modeling. Rapid growth in the volume of public transport and the need for its reasonable, efficient planning have made the description and modeling of transport and pedestrian behaviors as important research topics in the past twenty years. First, we present a macroscopic model for the pedestrian flow based on continuum mec...

Spatial dynamics of airborne infectious diseases.

Disease outbreaks, such as those of Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome in 2003 and the 2009 pandemic A(H1N1) influenza, have highlighted the potential for airborne transmission in indoor environments. Respirable pathogen-carrying droplets provide a vector for the spatial spread of infection with droplet transport determined by diffusive and convective processes. An epidemiological model describi...

Seasonality and the dynamics of infectious diseases.

Seasonal variations in temperature, rainfall and resource availability are ubiquitous and can exert strong pressures on population dynamics. Infectious diseases provide some of the best-studied examples of the role of seasonality in shaping population fluctuations. In this paper, we review examples from human and wildlife disease systems to illustrate the challenges inherent in understanding th...
